Mola Art of the Kuna Indians

The Mola Bulletin Board

A Mola, in the Kuna culture, is a traditional blouse worn by the Indian Women. It is made from two intricately appliqued panels. These colorful graphic panels have long been admired by visitors to the San Blas Archipelago and are collected as an art form. There are two ways to view my modest collection: For those of you who prefer a quick review of the pieces, I offer a text INDEX , with small files, quick downloads and moderate quality. For those who have time to meander and would like a closer look at this unique needle work, please tour the collection through the PHOTO INDEX (work in progress) with its large files, slow downloads and better quality. Both indexes are best viewed in Netscape. Thank you for your interest. Enjoy!
